Passenger Complaint: MSC Cruises BBB Review March 8, 2018 –  “Copy of a letter written to MSC regarding a refund due not paid. MSC **** North ******* **** *** *********** ** XXXXX Attention: Passenger Relations. March 6th, 2018 I am writing to let you know how annoyed and disappointed I am in your company. I booked a cruise #XXXXXXXX and paid my deposit of: $198.00. Unfortunately our plans changed shortly after that as good friends, whom we have cruised with before, asked us to accompany them on a similar cruise with another line. I cancelled your cruise and as the deposit was still in my pending file with my credit card company, I expected you to promptly refund the deposit. You can expect my dismay when I saw the charge hit my current monthly billing and checking further did not see any credit on my current statement, even though it has been over 10 days since I requested the refund and cancelled the cruise. IT IS NOT THE AMOUNT OF MONEY BUT THE PRINCIPLE! My wife and I have over 50 cruises, from our first with the original Love Boat and onward with Princess, HAL, NCL, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. We have done a couple of ocean crossings the latest being in April 2017 on HAL. I have seen your Adds and after discussion with my wife we decided to try your line. The Yacht Club category interested us as we have usually book, if available, the Haven on NCL. Indeed we completed a 7 day out of Miami last Thanksgiving with our whole family (9 people) coinciding with our grand-kids break. Now over the years we have booked many cruises and had to cancel some as well. We currently have 3 cruises booked with another line, one in the fall and a 29 day back to back Transatlantic and Mediterranean in the spring. I relate this to tell you that after the shabby treatment over the $198.00 deposit, you have lost any chance for my wife and I or the rest of my family to ever consider cruising with your line under any circumstances. I do not suffer fools gladly and it is apparent that you don’t value me as a future customer, so be it. Every company chooses the way they do business, but as it is my money that I am spending, I choose with whom it will be spent. In essence, you blew it!”
