Passenger Complaint: Norwegian Cruise Line BBB Review January 7, 2018 – “I cruised on the Norwegian Breakaway on November 26, 2017 , 7 day cruise. Paid over 5000.00 for my cruise for myself, husband, niece and son. It literally was double the cost of any other cruise I had taken. It was a complete and utter nightmare from day 1-7. 1. Lady has heart attack and does in front if us first day. 2. Ship overbooked. Droves of people pushing, shoving, fighting, security constantly running to fight, and medical calls. Ship had to cease for helicopter medical call as well. I was constantly getting hit, stepped on, ran into or knocked into. Rediculous! Unruly children everywhere as well. 3. No sleep before 2am and after 5am. People fighting, screaming and yelling, kids running up and down the hallways all hours of the night. 3. Toilet button broken. Went to guest services 4 times. Still didn’t fix correctly. Had to “punch” knob to flush. 4. Shower pressure very low. Felt like drizzling water. 5. My kids room wasn’t cleaned the first 2 days. Gratuity was prepaid already. When I said something the maid walked up to me and started yelling at me because I asked for the room to be cleaned. I spoke with the supervisor about it and it was cleaned, however, the maid saw me again and continued to yell at me. I had to literally walk away from her. 6. My kids were threatened by a ****** woman who came over to their table and took their condiments and silverware! When they asked why she was taking their stuff she started swearing at them, calling them names and threatened them! I again went to guest services. Security was called. I was taken back into a small room and “interagated”. I had to give a statement. 7. Food was less than mediocre. Cold and half of the time your lucky to get what you ordered. Service is terrible. 8. No pools for children 6-17 years old. No activities for my 11 year old. He was too old for youth and to you g for teen activities. He had hardly anything to do. They have a kiddie pool and an adult pool. A water slide that leaks like crazy and looms unsafe. I wrote a letter to guest relations. They stated I would get a response in 15 days. Never did. Followed up with the Norwegian reservation specialist who told me if I didn’t hear anything to let her know and she would let her supervisor know. Well, I didn’t hear back from her. Please don’t waste your money. The service is terrible. Guest relations on board are very rude and are dismissive. NFL is extremely disorganized. Much more had happened on that cruise that was terrible, just too much to write. I cruised many many times. I know what s great cruise entails. This is not one.”
