Passenger Complaint: Cunard Line Customer Review January 7, 2018 –  “We were wait listed for a year for a 51 day cruise Southhampton to Sydney. This did not come through and although I was talking to the customer service often, every consultant had a different story. We asked last week if there were any other sectors available and they said no. Then I looked for next year and two of the sectors were there online. we booked NY to San Fransisco and had to pay within 24 hours. $16398 We did that, then on the weekend we received an automated email that our booking had been cancelled and it was a $5000 cancellation fee!! The cruise is just a week away and we had already organised time off work, booked and paid for flights from Sydney to NY and from SF to Sydney plus $1500 insurance. The worst was that there was no way to contact the call centre to see what was happening although they advertise hours on Saturday and Sunday. We still don’t know if this is a mistake, but even if it is, it has ruined our weekend and the agents in the call centre were rude and ill- informed even when we could reach them. We were prepared to pay $40,000 for the trip of a life time and this whole thing has been so very disappointing. I would never go Cunard or any other cruise ever again as they are all owned and run by the same ppl.”
