Passenger Complaint: Norwegian Cruise Line BBB Review October 12, 2018 –  “This is about their refund policy; I am booked for an Eastern Caribbean cruise that was battered by Hurricane Irma. NCL decided to refund our shore excursions because we are no longer going to dock in those Islands. Well, you would think that they would refund the money to the card that was used for the purchases, right?? WRONG!! They refund your money to whatever random card they have on file for you (since the beginning), whether it be a gift card (usually thrown away after use), your cabin mates card, or any random card BUT the original form of payment. I find it unacceptable that they put MY money in someone else’s account ($700.00 nonetheless). When I called to speak to someone at the excursion department, I was told it was already pending in some phantom account (because it’s not mine), and there was nothing they could do about it. I have been so stressed out trying to find my money, so I can put it back on my credit card, that I have this continuous stress/tension headache that won’t quit!! So what am I supposed to do now?? It’s easy for a person to say “No, I didn’t see any extra money from NCL” and what am I going to say, “show me your bank statements?” That’s not how any of this is supposed to work!! I am livid, and NCL says oh well, sorry. This is so unfortunate because otherwise, I love cruising with them!”
