Passenger Complaint: Carnival Cruise Line BBB Review May 16, 2017 – “Advertised as “kid friendly” and it was far from it. Other than the water slides and camp ocean, this was in no way a “kid friendly” experience. We did not get what we paid for. There are a grand total of 3 changing tables on this ENTIRE boat. And good luck finding them. My wife had to SIT ON A BATHROOM FLOOR and lay my 2 year old girl on a BATHROOM FLOOR every time she needed to change a diaper. Or walk clear across the boat to our stateroom to change her. We even had a staff member walk my wife halfway across the boat to show her where a restroom was that he assured her, “has a changing table.” She goes in… there’s no changing table. And this was one of MANY issues like this, where the staff was giving wrong information. Also, on this kid friendly boat, there is no where to buy diapers, should you need some. Also, should you take advantage of the late night Camp Ocean… beware! On the Lido deck, your kids are likely to see women taking off their swim suits and bra’s for a “scavenger hunt”, sponsored by your carnival crew… and full grown men wearing women’s thongs (wearing nothing else) and dancing to music during this “scavenger hunt.” So apparently we’re to take our kids below deck and walk them to our room when said events are taking place. This is a law suit waiting to happen. Internet service was extremely expensive, and didn’t do what they said it would. We paid for an app so we can text each other on the boat, which worked about a third of the time. I have much more I could complain about from the terrible food to their last of interest shown by guest services, when I spoke with them about the above issues. 2 positive notes** Their steward’s/stewardess’s & waiters/waitresses are amazing. Truly amazing people. They also refunded my $10 that my wife and i paid towards the texting app (big wow there).”
